Wailua Falls

On the morning of November 14, heavy rainfall once again initiated over windward Kauai and quickly caused flooding problems on the already saturated ground. Six gages recorded 15-minute rainfall amounts greater than one inch, which is a rate of more than 4-inches per hour. The Kapahi rain gage showed the highest short-term rate of 6.76 inches per hour based on 1.69 inches recorded in 15-minutes. The highest one-hour accumulation was 4.62 inches from the U.S. Geological Service
